[Lapis only saw Steinbeck the other day, but things change so quickly nowadays - the news of the quarantine on Westerly is one of these changes. Most people Lapis really cares about are away from there, but there's someone who isn't.]
[He certainly didn't expect this. He's a busy guy, what with the quarantine dropping down and the pressure from the Resistance getting that much higher, so it takes him a while to answer. When he comes back, he finds five more messages than he remembers.]

someone's worried! goodness lapis i'm okay!! i mean, i've been better but i'm sorry, i had my hands tied up here for a moment.
[Lapis figures he's busy, she resists the urge to text even more - instead trying to distract herself. Though once she gets a reply, she doesn't hesitate to respond back - sighing softly in relief that he's okay.]
of course i'm worried! sorry, i know you've been busy, but when i saw the news i was worrying something might've happened to you. i'm glad you're okay.
i'm alright. i'm with my sister still. [It probably doesn't help that her sisters worsening symptoms is causing her nerves to be even more shaken.]
if i had to describe it with a single word, it's bad.
pretty chaotic, lots of people in need of help. just trying to aid people where i can! a lot of people need faith, in a time like this. i'm getting by as best as i can.
